June is kind of a crossroads of seasons in Missouri.  Though we think of it as a summer month, most of the month is technically still spring. June generally still has the rainfall of spring but the onset of the summer heat, so it can been pretty warm and sticky outside at times. The kind of days where your sunglasses fog over when you step outside and you can’t walk across the lawn without your feet getting soaked with dew. It’s also typically a good month for kayaking because it’s warm enough to swim, but the rivers typically have plenty of water.

Here is a steamy sunrise a few weeks ago as I was getting ready to go for an early morning bike ride. The air was thick with haze and some light fog, making for a warm and interesting scene.

Hot humid weather isn’t really my thing, but I like June and the activities that come along with it!
