Today was a day like any other Sunday. But tomorrow things will start to change…. Emma will be on her way to being a big sister, me a dad, and we’ll be a family of 4. Needless to say I’m very excited. Excited to see what little Eily is like. Excited for her to join us. Just excited in general.
Everyone keeps asking if I’m nervous or scared or whatnot. I’m really not. Perhaps I should be, but I’m not. While I’ve never been responsible for a newborn, let alone one of my own… I have grown accustomed to life with small children. And in my mind I figure adapting to one child from none is significantly more of a change than from one to two. But we’ll see! We’ll also find out if I am an idiot for thinking it’s possible to tote 2 kids and related accessories around in a compact car.
Yep… times are about to change. Emma will be sharing her world, this blog included with her little sister. I think she’s ready and even if she doesn’t completely grasp the concept of “baby sister” just yet… she will soon enough. And I think she’s going to do a great job!
