Happy Birthday Me!

Saturday marked the beginning of my last year as a ’20 something’. Which is kind of depressing but oh well.

I decided to bestow this honor of my actual ‘day’ upon my homie Ian. Friday we went to the cinema suite at the new AMC downtown and saturday was filled with a variety of activities. Then we had dinner with some friends at McCoy’s in westport. I like that place because it’s good and also because it’s called McCoys. After that we went to a place that I think was called the flying saucer.

After we left that place it was pretty late and driving out of the parking garage i noticed a guy walking on the sidewalk… it was Ian and I’s former roommate. Danny is one of those guys you always see in the most random and unexpected times and places, so I was not at all surprised to see him walking by himself on a sidewalk in downtown Kansas City at 2am. We pulled up beside him and i tried to snap a photo from the backseat.

Sunday Bridget and Andy came to visit me, which was definitely stellar. We enjoyed some sun and swimming in my pool and then we went to Coconuts for some tropical theme cuisine. It was great times.

The highlight of the birthday however was the fact that friday I had a dipped cone from DQ in Harrisonville, saturday I had a concrete from “Custard’s Last Stand” in Lee’s Summit, and Sunday I had a blizzard from DQ in Lamar.
