In spite of the overall crappy weather this weekend I did manage to do a few noteworthy things. First, I worked on my never-ending backyard overhaul project during the 2 hour window without rain on saturday. Sunday I planted a row of strawberry plants in the rain.
The real fun didn’t happen until the very end of the weekend… I went CAMPING with Jimmyjack and his brother Jake. They had been planning it for awhile I guess and I found out about it and just kind of butted in since all I had to do was walk down to the campsite.
By the time camping commenced, the weather had dried up and it was pretty great for camping. Cool, but not cold and not terribly windy once the sun went down. Camping is lots of fun and I wish I did it more often.
On a side note, Jake found some morel mushroom and grilled them up. I’ve never had them so I tried one and it was pretty good!
