The other day I was being a good boyfriend and sitting on an uncomfortable waiting bench at the mall while Hannah tried on various outfits. Eventually I found a way to entertain myself by trying on all the sunglasses and taking self photos with my phone. Then I came across the latest trend in eye wear. Even a seasoned world traveler such as myself didn’t see this trend coming… not from Europe, Africa… the only place I can figure it came from is the future.
Available in nearly every color, these seemed almost ridiculous at first, but then when I got to thinking about it…. it’s basically just the same principle as window blinds, only for your eyes. With normal sunglasses you block 50% of the light from 100% of the eye… these block 100% of the light from 50% of the eye so you really end up with the same effect…. well except you really can’t see anything with these on, but I’m sure that doesn’t keep teenage girls from wearing them while driving.
I figure the best use for these is as part of a star trek costume. Oh, and also these are most worthy of my my “total crap” award.
Those do remind me of the glasses from Back to the Future part 2.
