Awhile back, maybe around July I made this prediction on what I expected for the outcome of the presidential election. I just never got around to posting it. If this situation were to actually occur, Obama would win with 337-201 electoral votes. Initially I thought Sarah Palin could possibly be a game changer and mess with my predictions, but that excitement has run its course so now I am feeling fairly confident in my guessing accuracy. If I were doing it now, I think the only things I would change would be Florida and Louisiana, which would not really change the overall outcome. Two others that I would pick as most likely to be wrong are Nevada and Arkansas… maybe Montana.
Initially I thought Florida’s large elderly voting population would prefer a 72 yr old veteran over a young, half-black man who may or may not be conspiring with Al-Qaeda; but considering how close that state was before republicans had destroyed the country, I can’t imagine how anyone waving an elephant flag really has a chance in FL this time around.
Who knows, I haven’t really been tracking polls or watching hours of CNN like I used to or anything like that, so I may be way off base. This is really just my gut feel. One thing I concluded from looking at the states and potential outcomes is that McCain really has no chance at all.
