Ski Utah!

Well I am back from my favorite state… Utah. We had a great time, and not unlike last time I vacationed here, we had all kinds of unexpected adventure.

Of course there was the skiing, and the fact that i found myself pushing myself to the limits in terms of the difficult routs i chose to get down the mountain. Then there was the snowmobiling. But the real excitement was when Jimmy and I went off away from the main part of the snow mobile group with 2 other guys and a guide to do some “aggressive” riding. The guy brining up the rear had a stroke in the middle of the forest. By the time we found him, it was fairly obvious what had happened… and yeah, it was scary. They took him up to a cabin on the ridge and called for a helicopter while Jimmy and I attempted to get the other snowmobiles turned around and unstuck in the waist deep snow.

The guide gave us directions to the cabin and left us. Luckily we found our way just a few minutes before the helicopter landed and we helped carry the guy on a stretcher into it and watched him fly away to the University Med Center in Salt Lake City. The paramedics said he should be fine.
