In the summer of 2002 I invited myself and my friend Grant along on my grandparent’s trip to Yellowstone. To this day it remains one of my favorite trips of all time. We took their camper and somehow managed to see all the major sights between here and Idaho in just a week.

I like to collect “Welcome to ____” sign photos. I guess I was being a cowboy here.

While Granny was making dinner at the campground, Grant and I took the truck and explored the back roads outside Rock Springs, WY.

Some cool buttes out in the desert.

Relaxing by the lake with the Tetons in the background.

Entering Yellowstone at last!

A neat waterfall. Granny loves waterfalls so you can bet we saw every single one!

Enjoying a nice picnic lunch. One of many we had on the trip!

Me standing precariously close to the edge of the cliff/waterfall. I probably took this just for mom.

I believe this lake was called Jackson Lake. I was always impressed with how well it came out, being that I took it with an early generation, very low megapixel digital camera.
My travel companions posing by another waterfall.

We finally headed home, but not before seeing Devil’s Tower!
